A reference in structural maintenance in Brazil and worldwide, Ecovias Ponte has a team that works around the clock to maintain the Rio-Niterói Bridge.
Every day, preventive measures are carried out, such as pavement revitalization, lane repainting, sign replacement, and adjustments to traffic signals and electrical systems, as well as other technologies like cameras, lighting systems, variable message boards, and weather stations, among others.
In addition, we have the Operational Control Center (CCO), which we call the “heart” of the concession. It is from this room that the bridge is monitored through 45 cameras, ensuring that no detail goes unnoticed. With on-duty teams, the CCO coordinates medical and mechanical assistance, construction work, and any other necessary interventions to optimize traffic flow and maintain road safety.
These actions are planned in advance and carried out during the night to avoid traffic disruptions and ensure user safety. Additionally, more in-depth monthly inspections are conducted by land and sea to assess the structural integrity of the bridge.
