2015Ecovias Ponte begins as the new concessionaire, committed to making investments in the Rio-Niterói Bridge and its accesses.

2016The Toll Plaza is extended and improvements are made, such as the introduction of LED lighting and the installation of anti-glare blades.

2017The Praça Renascença Underpass is inaugurated, optimizing vehicle flow, along with the planting of one thousand native Atlantic Forest species in the surrounding area. Two new Operational Bays are installed on the sides of the roadways.

2021Avenida Portuária is inaugurated: an expressway exclusively for cargo vehicles that connects Avenida Brasil, in Manguinhos, to Gate 32 of the Port of Rio de Janeiro.

2020The connection ramp to the Linha Vermelha is completed: a 2.5 km-long viaduct that improves traffic flow in the central region of Rio de Janeiro.

2022Ecovias Ponte received the award for Highest User Satisfaction in Concessions at the 2nd edition of the Rodovias + Brasil Award, organized by the National Department of Land Transport. From 2015 to 2021, over 413,100 service calls were carried out.

2024Seven electric tow trucks are added to the operational fleet of the concessionaire, reflecting Ecovias Ponte’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and environmental preservation.

2024The Rio-Niterói Bridge celebrates its 50th anniversary with numerous improvements and life stories shared in a commemorative book.

2025A major structural work is carried out, with additional cables inside the concrete boxes, reinforcing the interior of 70 segments of the Over-the-Sea Section structure.
